LK-T80 Aluminum Foil Container Machine Quick Mold Change in Under 20 Minutes
![]()
The LK-T80’s core feature is an integrated quick mold change system aimed at reducing average changeover time to under 20 minutes.
The system centers on a hydraulic mold changer arm and a dedicated ball lift table. For a changeover, the arm smoothly transfers molds weighing hundreds of kilograms in and out, minimizing need for crane or forklift. The mold is placed on ball transfers for easy micro-adjustment and alignment. Once positioned, the hydraulic pump activates a 4-point locking mechanism, providing secure clamping force monitored by a digital pressure gauge for safety.
This system standardizes and mechanizes the handling, positioning, and clamping of heavy molds. It significantly reduces labor intensity and reliance on highly skilled workers, making frequent mold changes efficient and practical.

Q1: How is the under-20-minute changeover achieved?
A1: By mechanizing three key steps: hydraulic arm transport, ball table alignment, and hydraulic one-touch clamping. This replaces slow manual work, streamlining the entire process.
Q2: Is the hydraulic clamping force adjustable and consistent?
A2: Yes. The system includes a digital pressure gauge to preset and monitor clamping force, ensuring uniform pressure every time to protect molds and the machine.
Q3: Does operating this system require special training?
A3: Basic training is required. However, the process is mechanized and standardized. A regular operator can learn basic changeovers within half to one full day of training.
Q4: Is it difficult to learn if the worker is not familiar with computers?
A4: Not difficult. The interface uses graphical menus designed for industrial use, similar to using a smartphone. Basic operation involves tapping and entering simple numbers. Most operators can learn core functions after our short training (typically 1-2 days).
Q5: What does the Mitsubishi PLC mean for the operator?
A5: It means greater system stability and responsiveness. For the operator, this translates to a responsive screen, accurate command execution, and more reliable machine operation, minimizing unplanned stops due to control system issues.
