The control system on this 80-ton aluminium foil container press line is specified as one matched package: a Mitsubishi PLC as the control core, an ABB motor for the main drive, Schneider low voltage components for the distribution and control circuits, and SMC and Airtac pneumatic parts. These are not individual brands picked from different sources and put together — the electrical package is selected and commissioned together with the mechanical structure, so the control logic, the cycle timing and the machine movements line up with each other. It also means every component has a known brand and model, so sourcing a spare part later does not rely on guesswork.
The main body uses an “H” type frame with a solid worktable. Multi-cavity moulds place higher demands on table rigidity, and a solid table resists deformation under repeated stamping, which gives more consistent forming. Lubrication is a closed circuit: lubricant circulates inside the machine instead of being sprayed onto the tooling. That matters for the electrical side as well — with less oil mist in the air, the control cabinet and the control components sit in a cleaner environment.
On the operating side, the touch screen offers a multi-language interface and displays fault messages, and the system stores up to 60 sets of mould parameters. The worktable has a mould lifter arm and the table height is adjusted by a hydraulic pump, so one worker completes a mould change in about 15 minutes, and one operator can run the line in automated production. A complete line includes the foil decoiler and feeder, the 80-ton press, the mould lifter arm, the safety door, the scrap aspirator, the control cabinet and the stacker, and it runs both wrinkle wall and smooth wall container moulds.

The above is the standard configuration. The actual configuration is adjusted according to mould cavities, product size and local power supply standard; before ordering we confirm a configuration list based on your product plan.
1. What kind of aluminium foil containers can the 80-ton press capacity handle?
It covers the common container range from small to larger sizes, as long as the mould matches the job. How large a mould can be fitted and how many cavities are formed in one stroke depend on the mould design and the maximum foil width, and we give a recommendation during quotation based on your sample and output target.
2. What does the “H” type frame do for forming stability?
With an “H” type frame and a solid worktable, the table deforms very little under stamping, so forming stays consistent over long continuous production. The load difference between cavities is also smaller, which shows most clearly when running 4–6 cavity moulds.
3. How many moulds can one machine take, and is changing products troublesome?
Moulds are made for each product, and one machine can take several moulds in rotation. A change is done with the mould lifter arm and the hydraulic pump — about 15 minutes, one worker — and afterwards you recall the matching parameter set from the control system, so running several products does not mean re-commissioning every time.
4. Do you make the moulds yourselves, and can they be customised to our sample?
Yes, moulds are designed and made in our own workshop. Wrinkle wall and smooth wall moulds are customised to your sample with a choice of edge rolling styles, and key components go through vacuum heat treatment plus cryogenic treatment for hardness and wear resistance. Cavity numbers range from single to multi cavity, and the moulds can also be fitted to presses of other brands.
5. What is the working speed, and how is output estimated?
Working speed is adjustable between 35 and 70 strokes per minute. Actual output depends on the stroke rate, the number of cavities per stroke and effective running time; more cavities or a larger product changes the cycle slightly, and we work out the output together with your mould plan.
6. Which brands are used in the electrical system?
Mitsubishi PLC and touch screen for the control core, an ABB motor for the main drive, Schneider low voltage components for the distribution and control circuits, and SMC and Airtac pneumatic components.
7. What if the local voltage standard differs or the supply is unstable?
The machine is designed for 380V / 50Hz / 3-phase. If the local standard differs, a transformer is required; if the local grid fluctuates noticeably, we suggest assessing whether a voltage stabiliser is needed, and this can be confirmed together during the planning stage.
8. What maintenance does the control cabinet need?
Keep the cabinet clean and dry, check the wiring terminals for looseness at regular intervals, and make sure heat dissipation and ventilation are not blocked. Avoid dust, moisture and oil accumulating inside. The inspection interval can be set according to your workshop conditions.
9. How does the machine help locate a fault?
It has automatic shutdown and alarm functions, and the specific fault is shown on the touch screen so the operator can locate it from the message. If it cannot be identified, contact us and our after-sales team will help.
10. What safety devices are fitted?
A safety door that stops the machine if opened during production. Before a mould change or service, make sure the hydraulic system is depressurised.
11. How do we choose between the 63-ton, 80-ton and 130-ton models?
It comes down to product size, mould cavities and target output. The 63-ton model suits small to medium products in a 3-cavity setup; the 80-ton model uses an “H” type frame and closed lubrication and suits 4–6 cavity production, covering a broad product range; the 130-ton model is aimed at larger scale and larger product sizes. Send us your sample and planned output and we will recommend a model with the quotation.
12. How are warranty, installation and training handled?
The warranty is one year. Installation has three options: an installation video for self-installation, training at our factory, or our engineers on site on request.
